I understand that the Port of Milford Haven are also taking back the lease of East Llanion boatyard. Their representatives were looking round when I was last there in July.

The Port Authority have been slowly making things at Milford Marina worse and worse over the last five years so I don’t have a lot of hope for a marina in poor condition like Burry Port. East Llanion is well thought of (although I’ve never used it) so probably also bad. The PA seems to be interested in land and development like every other marina operator and not so much in boats and facilities for their crews.

We visit Milford Haven every summer for a few days at least and generally find the marina pretty good . Staff are helpfull, showers etc kept clean. Locking in /out straightforward.

Sensible. There's no money in marinas that dont have south coast style easy natural access ( ie no dredging) and south coast fee levels. Just look at the financial problems of Watchet and Swansea let alone Burry.

Watchet, Swansea, Cardiff, Burry and many others are/were only viable when part of the site goes for housing / development.
