I like boats and boaty stuff.

Even when the wind blows really hard for three days, but you still manage some exciting sailing. Then stops for one day and then blows again.

Even when in a lumpy sea the engine inlet gets blocked and a bit of pipe on the inlet valve gets snapped off and you have to sail with no engine for hours before your mates give you a tow in. And its fixed.

Even when the boat that you change over to looses power to the vhf, a fairlead falls off and even the handle falls off a cutlery knife.

But especially when you meet up with some great people you met via the forum and when your 2 crew up for Coastal exam come back in having passed!

A positively great week, who knows whats going to happen this week??

I like it when someone posts a question, and that question is answered. But in addition many other helpful suggestions that the OP might never have considered are also raised and discussed. It makes for very varied and educational reading.

Even when, in a jolly big gust of wind you get called out to resecure a yacht and halfway through it gives bullet rain, its possible to stay happy knowing in half an hour you are off to the pub to watch Arsenal versus the Champions and at 7, two Swedish ladies are due to join for a two week cruise!

Svenska flika ista bra

( not sure of the spelling but I know it to be true. Helde Ogg lykke.)

Its all greek to me...

Anyways, two really nice ladies who have probably got more sea time than most readers of this little posting, one having crewed on one of Abramovich superyachts.

Now ready to learn the art of having their own Command.

Happiness indeed.
