Also, don't have access to my Pilot at the moment but does anyone happen to know the feasability of anchoring in the bay to the East of the harbour? (obviously if conditions allow).

May head round depending on work, crew availability etc.

Sandend Bay to the east is sand and OK to anchor in, weather permitting.

I have never used it and looking at the chart, I'm not convinced. I think Sandend Bay is the safer option as the recognised anchorage, albeit a bit further to walk.....

There was someone anchored there the year before last. Not sure how well they slept.

I will the there with the North Berwick Coastal Rowing Club.

I expect there will be visitors from Ainster accompanying their skiff however they usually moor down the coast.

The Queensferry folk will be there camping.
