Great series on S4C recently documenting the stations new lifeboat and building of a new station. It also looks at the community and training.
Porthdinllaen is a a very special place for us in the NW and I hope you might like the footage

catch up TV has the last 5 episodes, and the progs have english subtitles ( click S at bottom)

Enjoy, I know the coxswain, and they are a great bunch

Its great seeing our cruising grounds on the TV, and how the new lifeboat is performing. Shame there wasn't more on boozing in the Ty Coch and returning to boats via tender after several pints of cwrw !

Mike the full time coxswain is a great guy, and very helpful for those wishing to visit Porthdinllaen......ring him for his top tips (via his RNLI phone number)

Catch up soon Kwacka...............by the way saw the guys fitting a new transom to one of your ribs.....it wont fall of in a hurry! good piece of engineering!

Hey
I will ring Mike next time I turf in there
If he tells me where the sticky up bits are in Dinllaen
I tell him where mine are!
Yeh, bought that engine you recommended off of The Boys
You knob, it was an 'extra long' leg
So that's why the blunt end was being being beefed up!
Proper job as you say
I will invoice you for your error by the way!
;)

Thanks for posting that.

I recognised quite a few faces and places.Ken was the best harbour master that Pwllhelli ever had. He talked me through the " early flood route" through Bardsey Sound. Not for the faint hearted being close in enough to have a conversation with the guys fishing at the bottom of the cliffs.
