Portable water pumps

I am looking for a compact portable water pump (engined) for use aboard as washer and standby/emergency bilge pump. Does anyone have any knowledge/experience/recommendations?

We bought a Kobi (?sp) from Mole Valley when we needed to shift a small pond, and wish we had the baby honda, which has a great reputation.

If you lived in rural Australia every farmer has at least one large engine/pump coupled to a tank and set up on the back of the truck for the entire season Nov to April for fire fighting. I imagine that is what you want. Try rural supplies in UK. olewill

Perhaps a Jabsco or Rule deck wash pump?
