Portable power supply- day sailor/ camper

No instruments on board but for occasional use wouldn't mind power supply for handheld VHF, light and kids DVD player/ phone charging. Something small and light enough to easily take to and from swing mooring. How about motor bike battery in a ply box with 2x cig lighter sockets and an led array? Any other ideas?
 
I use a Xantrex Powerpack 400. It gives 12vDC, 230v AC (up to 400watts). It has a built in air compressor and light. It can be recharged from the mains or aux (cigar lighter) socket on a boat or in a car.

I find it very useful. Probably other makes also available. Try Google !
