Now that my boat is out of the water, I need to supply some electricity to it for the power tools..ect

The large diy stores were selling generators for under £100...not sure they still do them?

Has anyone bought one...at this price was it a good buy?

Have just seen some on Ebay...new...under £60...mmmm?

Any info appreciated.

You can get a very small one for under £50 - Just look at how many Watts you need. Petrol v. Diesel is obviously a big question, Makro had some larger diesel generators for about £150

I have one of the £50 2 stroke cheapies from B & Q. Handy for occasional use and reasonably light to move about. Mine has enough guts to power a big hammer drill. They now sell 4 stroke models for about £100, and these look better made.
All the little 2 stroke generators at prices from £50 up to nearly £100 appear to be the same unit, with different colour schemes, "makers" names and price tags. They are probably all out of the same factory in China.
