Hi All

I am considering wintering in Port Ginesta near Barcelona, has anyone any personal experience with the marina for instance safety, weather problems, security.
I would be very greatful
Kind regards

Port Ginesta

I spent a winter there about five years ago. The staff were great, frequent buses to Barcelona from the main gate, supermarkets a cycle ride away (also in Marina), most facilities. The "down" side: constant movement in the harbour, a disco that was open throughout the night (even with no punters). Chains and snubbers are required.

Friends had their boat there for a few years and we visited a couple of times. They were happy with the facilities. Cheap, frequent bus service into Barcalona, good bakery nearby, chandlers etc. Also easy access to Balearics etc. Disco a bit of a problems at times. Lots of dust from the quarry/ cement maker? nearby. Overall good value for money, but that was around 5 years ago so this info may be a bit out of date.
