NOTE this is the Marina in Yalikavak NOT Bodrum.
Well looks like it is changing name, new owners, will post correct new name tomorrow.
But here it comes, fees for long term berths have gone up 50%.
Fees based on metre squared, minimum 45m2.(no change) however they used to allow a discount for us little boats.
We are approx 10x3.5 so 35m2, Fees for 45m2 were 3000Euro 4 years ago creeping up to 4000ish euro last year, but they let our little boat still pay the 3000 each year as we were good payers on time and they felt sorry for us being charged for 45m2 as they squeesze every one in fender to fender.
In the office today I was informed that price is now the full (old 4000 Euro no discounts for being a regular or sympathy for being a shorty boat) plus 50% so that makes it 6000 euro. they asked if I was OK with that, I asked for a couch to lie down.
I asked if people were leaving, yes they said, but owner apparently can afford to let people go, knows he can get the bigger richer boats in. Well time will tell.
Luckily we are OK until end of December paid well on time end of last year.
I will try and get a print out tomorrow of the full fees. Long term and visitor rates etc.
Got some new info on the blue card scheme, but will try and dig out the old Turkish Blue card thread and update you on that.
