Popped round to London Day 1

And possibly a fine you as well, there are reporting points on the charts for the barrier zone about a mile either side of the barrier. As for Dover why not call them better than playing chicken with a ferry as they shoot out of the harbour as you are likely to be fairly close in given you are about to turn North to go inside Goodwin.

Great report. Gotta love central London on a boat :)

and at night.

We had the flattest run I have ever had round, even North Forland was flat.

I only sailed the North Foreland once, short, but rolley in a NE 5, nothing like this. and creepy without GPS too. (they didn't have it then :o)

Nice thread Julie, is this the last day or is there more to come?

Thanks for posting a great report and pictures. Was surprised to hear you couldn't get into Brighton and Sovereign. We were based at both marinas for many years and never had a problem at any state of the tide, as JTB says they both advertise entry at all states of the tide, maybe they are having a problem with silting caused by the winter storms?!!

and you Tim, and what a great boat you were playing with. How was she at sea.

She was great a well behaved lady with impeccable manners the new owners are very happy with her not bad for a 50 year old classic .
Spooky thing is she was moored next to her spiritual home Clarence Boat Yard .
The boat you were playing was not too shabby either.
Tim
