Pop ups are very annoying and bad mannered

I have a pop up blocker but it does not work on the PBO site, today an " SD Marine" pop up covers the wording on the forum, how rude can you be, surely good manners would let people look at what they want to see without being butted into! no wonder the lack of manners is a national desease if Magazines allow it to happen as well.
SD Marine I have dealt with in the past and they are an excellent company, my moan is not with them.

This site is the only one I visit where advertising matter obscures the the reason to visit. I have failed to be able to remove the offending banner and have just accepted it as fact and move on. On the plus side it saves me from much of the irrelevant trivia that I am now adding to.

Registering and logging-in should zap the pop-ups. If it isn't, for you, then contact YBW admin.

[/ QUOTE ] I have not looked today but yesterday I found that if I logged out I got an ad that sat beside the forum on a 1024 pixel wide display. Does it get pushed over on top of the forum on a 800 wide display?

I guess IPC might not take kindly to us discussing how to remove their adverts. Firefox with Adblock Plus does it for me.
