Poole Restaurants

I find myself in Bournemouth on business for a couple of nights. Having ventured out on foot to Bournemouth town centre (for want of a better word) last night I've decided that I might go a tad further a field this this evening. Thinking of driving over to Poole for a mooch around the front. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can go for a stroll to look at some boats followed by a meal in a nice Bistro / Thai restaurant (budget <£30)? No curries as had one last night.

You could try Storm or theres a Thai about four doors up.

banana wharf for the view over the quay and food is ok, Italian gossip for..... well Italian and their fish dishes are lubberly again nearly the same view over the quay, Gastro pub rising sun does reasonable food, Storm as posted by John for fish dishes.

There's a friendly, old-fashioned Italian called Ginali's on the High Street. Lovely people, decent food.

Hotel Du Vin is great we love it their but is probably over the op's budget of £30. Another fantastic place is The Guild Hall but your unlikely to get a table without booking

Possibly. It's also where Sunseeker butters up potential clients so you may well find yourself surrounded by branded shirts.

If on the Quay try the Portsmouth Hoy for fish and chips. The Antelope has a restaurant behind called The Smugglers which is one of our favourites

Thanks all, ended up at Banana Republic and had a very acceptable meal there. Will try some of the others when I'm down next.

Bit late, but the Guild Hall Tavern gets another vote from me.
Fabulous French / Belgium fish cuisine. Very friendly staff.
