Firstly, I know they are the pre Sunseeker company (but little else about the lineage) and have done a search on here but not come up with much.

I'm looking at a Poole Powerboats 28 (if such a model existed), dates from the 70's. I thought it was an Offshore 27 but been told otherwise.

Any idea where I can find more info on the beast ?

Google searches don't come up with much at all.

The first boat of that size Robert Braithwaite marketed was the SS Offshore 28. A couple of examples Here and Here
These are the only 2 on Boatsandoutboards.co.uk but I havnt tried the boats for sale section on ybw.com---might be worth a look. Good luck. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I had a Sunseeker 31 in 1985 built 82 and the builder was Poole Powerboats.

The 31 was a stretched 28 and had a pair of 260hp V8's it was my first and last petrol boat . The fuel consumption was a bit staggering.

The boat was sound enough and quite a good sea boat in its day.

You need to consider the running costs and watch out for any 20 to 25 year old machinery.

There was a 28 over here I remember that was repowered with a pair Kad 32 diesels at 170hp each and went quite well.
