That bridge seems to have been a chromium plated cockup from the word go !
I always thought someone at Cobbs Quay must have upset someone else in charge of the dodgy bridge building dept...

Perhaps they could sell it to the Isle of Wight Council to replace the Floating Bridge ...

They could / should put the ferry in the middle and batter it with the bridge if they can get it working for that long, then replace both with sensible designs

Between those two, the Sandbanks ferry being out of service for months for a hydraulic issue and only just returning to full service and the refurb/repair of the old Poole town bridge running over by several months I have come to the conclusion that I will not be trusting either council to arrange a drinking session at the brewery in the near future.
