Trying to contact Sail UK that were based out of Poole/Dolphin Marina and had a couple of Sadler 34 boats, one of which was Sea Tern, the other Sea xxxx. Can't find them in the book. Any ideas?

Last I heard, the new owner closed it down after the accident they had in 2006 with one of their boats in Southampton Water.

Maybe it has been revived by another owner?

Think it was this: http://www.maib.gov.uk/cms_resources.cfm?file=/roaring meg.pdf

Pity, it was a very good sailing school.

Thanks for that, it made an interesting (though sad) read. I don't know whether the guy who bought the school in 2005 was the same guy who ran the place when we were there in 2001/2/3 (and I'm not mentioning any names) but he was a racing nut and a big chunk of his business was Fastnet race preparations using Roaring Meg and Braveheart. I remember hearing more than once from the RYA instructors that they used that the school seemed to exist to fund the (then) owner's racing ambitions.

It is a shame because the people involved in the RYA training from Sail(UK) (that we met) were all dedicated, fun, and knowledgeable guys. I hope the two casualties are both completely fit and well now....
