I was last at the Baiter slipway about three weeks ago and found that the washdown taps had been replaced with push-spring ones without a thread on them. So now you can't attach a hose (unless you've got a clamp-on device) and the tap only runs for about 60 seconds before stopping. Completely useless for those of us who wish to flush our engines, and wasting the investment of building the facility. (not to mention my £6 investment in using the facility)
Does anyone know if the taps are still in such a configuration, or should I get into letter writing mode to the local authority?
