P B O by subscription 'cos I'm a practical boater.
Just about to subscribe to Sailing Today 'cos I usually like it.
I feel Y M is all about yachts beyond my reach but occ. buy.
Oh dear - please, someone else tell me they spend (waste?) as much money on reading material as I do. Especially as I also subscribe to a couple of gliding mags.
I think the publishers follow a cunning plan.
At boats shows I have noticed an increased proliferation of attractive young ladies with engaging smiles and other attributes who describe the benefits of a monthly subscription, or competition or whatever. While I am trying to concentrate on the smile, I seem to find myself signed up for whatever it is.
I suppose one day I'll be too old to be hooked in this way, still, until then.....
YM. subscription. enjoy. comprehensive coverage.
pbo. sub. going out of favour, may well consider another publication, no particular reason, just finding it a little tedious.
yw. got last months from bookstall.
sailing today. tried . way out of my league if i remember correctly. ie superyachts, etc
YM - Subscription
Practical Goat Owner - Buy virtually every copy...guess a sub. would be cheaper!
YW - Bought it once...too glossy... suits 'fantasy' sailors!
Sailing Today - Subscription...OK not IPC, but a good read, proving that AOLTimeWarnerIPC does not have the monopoly of decent marine journo's!!
