Morning All,

I have a 40 year old 39 camper, with 40 year old heads.

The seats are pretty dirty, with a black stain from the rubber seals.

What is the best way to remove this and return the seat to the kind of condition that my daughter would be happy to sit on?

Many thanks

Paul

If it's wooden strip all coating and paint or varnish with 2 pack polyurethane..

If its a hard plastics try the usual range of domestic bleaches and cleaners eg Flash Spray with Bleach or a mild abrasive such as Cif Cream Cleaner.
If unsuccessful paint. Perhaps with Rust Oleum All Surface Paint.

If it's a soft plastics simply replace it.

Fit new seals.

The seat and lid for a Lavac are £90 !!! And I have 2 of them.

Do not use any auto products like Cockpit Shine.
I did once on the pvc seat covers in a competition car. For the next event I and my passenger slid all over the place. It had silicon in it.
