I always get the boat painted, polished and serviced prior to our first long holiday, but the polishing only extends from the waterline to the hull above the rubbing strake and below where the stainless rails join the deck. I thought that I would have a go at the superstructure above the hull, and the smaller fiddly bits myself. Any advice / recommendations on polishers / polish etc for this job,

Hi Andy,
I have a Meguiars dual action polisher on the boat, its a number of years old now buts works a treat, no longer made but this is the replacement:-
Meguiars MT320 Dual Action Polisher & Free Pads

I also have a cheep and cheerful DA polisher at home for the cars
GMC DAS-6 Dual Action Polisher, Triple Pads & Meguiars 105/205
again works well cant tell much difference between them to be honest.

I have tried all sorts but best solution I've found is Autoglym super resin polish followed by a hard wax 3M or Colonite 476.
This year I'm going to try some of the Meguiars SiO2 ceramic spray wax as a top up on the hard wax to see if it will last a bit llonger.

If money is no object Rupes do some great kit including the bigfoot range standard and nano long neck.
