Hants police have got 3 Solent based Mitchell 31's with twin diesels. They can also call up MOD plod, Customs and their own air support if they really want to catch you.

ah, well, i spose that if they don't have an axshul police boat they *might* have to work with a mobile phone and "whizz up" on say, a bav42. Trouble is, nobody wd actually think they were real police peeps. Or would they?

well Alarm (Poole's big Police boat) was doing around 16knots through Poole Harbour on Saturday but Dorset Police have at least 1 black rib that's good for 45knots and a Police Jet Ski that can manage 60+..........

I remember they had a problem with the police boat in Sagafjord. It was stolen and hidden away by a group of youths. They would emerge from time to time and buzz around with 2's and blues going, putting the wind up all the locals who were trying to earn a few bob smuggling alcohol. Needless to say, it all ended in tears...

I know of a copper who has one. He's quite convincing as a sailor, but tends to prefer to work undercover. Always late for his appointments too.
