Quick question. I’m berthed up in St Tropez for a couple of days. I had to use an adapter for the shore power as its usually a large boat berth, so my plug is too small. What I’ve noticed Having plugged in, is the polarity indicator light is not on. Is that any kind of issue? There is no switch on the AC panel to change polarity direction on my T40 that I can see...

Do you have a tester

Could be the earth is disconnected. If so, needs sorting. Can you get another adaptor ?

Most times, if the polarity is reversed, it makes no difference unless you are working on the electrics.

Some more modern boats won't power up if the polarity is wrong.
