We had our first Poker Run in Stavanger on saturday with around 20 boats mostly Hydrolifts we have sold.
My firm entered two Windys, three Hydrolifts and the Nortech, there were a couple of Sunseekers, a Donzi, and a Formula, and an Arctic Blue rib also.
And one guy had a Hydrolift C24 RR (carbon hull) with a 750hp bigblock V8 which did 85 knots, thats quick in a boat that small!
We raced around the islands picking up cards at different locations and had the firms helicopter filming from just 10ft above the water!
We stopped for a 2 hr lunch at a hotel up in the fjords then raced the last two legs back to the start.
It was a great day out and everyone enjoyed putting their boat through its paces, no-one was disqualified or damaged their boat, the Windy 760 with the Verado outboard had a problem when the engine stopped due to the battery terminal jumping off, but luckily we saw him and had tools onboard so he was back in the race in a few minutes.
I was impressed with the Volvo D6 in my Windy Oceancraft 845 which I ran full throttle for the whole 70 miles of the course, I wouldn't normally do this as an engineer, but it was the firms boat and they have loads o' money, so what the heck.
We took first and second place with the Nortech and an S 24 Maclaren 500hp Hydrolift, not because of speed but on points accumulated.
We had several compulsory slow legs where we cruised through small channels, it was fun looking at the bewildered yotties faces when they heard over 10,000hp approaching in convoy!
The result was a great day out for everyone, and lots of waves and cheers from the folks on the verandas of their weekend cottages when we thundered past and orders for around six new boats!
We are now planning to have several next year.

[/ QUOTE ]Tut, tut. I guess it's probably going to be sold to a customer of yours, sooner or later, innit?
I would have been glad to attend onboard the Nortech, though! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
