Pocket Yacht Charter/Loan - Lake District

Just watching 'A Pictureof Britian' on UK TV History. I have never visited the Lake District and it looks to me like it was about time that I did. I don't fancy lifting Merit onto the trailer, nor do I fancy towing her all that way, but perhaps I could borrow/hire/charter something similiar (or even smaller) and sail up there for a week this summer. Either sleeping on board or in B&Bs. I suppose even a Wayfarer would do the job.

Has anyone else ever done such a trip?

chartered years ago a chieftan 34 i think it was and they had an elizabethan
