You chaps sometimes refer to a "PM". I thought this was the abbreviation for post mortem. I presume you do not mean this. Perhaps you mean "email". Please staisfy my curiolisty. How is this abbreviation derived?

Personal Message, click on the persons name, you are taken to their profile, click on send Personal message (or similar).

It means something like 'private message' and you can access them via User Options. You should have a little flag show up there if you have a pm but I've noticed recently they don't always show. I've never moaned abt that to our moderators here because I'm sure they'll get round to it eventuallyand to be honest being responsible for a forum like this is enough of a PITA as it is!

Have sent you one you should have little flashing thing to the left of "main index".Click on it.
Easiest way to do it is to click on user name,and at bottom of box click on "Send private message" and follow prompts.
Useful when you disagree violently with someone and feel constrained by good manners from expressing your true feelings on a public forum.

I'm thinking of sending a couple to participants in the anchor rode debate as they are talking ******* ****** ***** **** *****'s.
