How easy is it to get an overnight mooring in Plymouth? And where's best to moor up for:

1. Night out at the theatre, then a meal.

2. Pubs with yer mates.

3. Pubs with yet lady.

??

And any ideas of prices for a 26 footer?

Cheers,

Not too difficult. Usually busy during summer weekends but not as busy as you might think. Best place for 1,2 and 3 would be Sutton Harbour as you are in the historic Barbican. A bit noisy but perfectly sheltered. Queen Anne Battery is OK but not a huge amount of room for visitors. Plymouth Yacht Haven is a bit of a social/cultural desert unless you take the water taxi over to the Barbican area. Prices are about £25 a night give or take. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Both Royal Western and Royal Plymouth Corinthian have visitors moorings and there are some N of Drakes Island but can be lumpy there. For Theatre/meal - Sutton Harbour (also most expensive). With mates, probably as above or QAB. With Mrs, couple of decent places within walking distance of Yacht Haven. Decent brasserie/bar at Mayflower or catch ferry across to Edgecumbe Arms (early eve). In general, plenty of pubs/restaurants around the Barbican Area (ferry runs between there and Mountbatten (for Yacht Haven) until 2300 ish.
