I recently delivered an Oceanis 50 from Plymouth to Lisbon. We set off one day ahead of the ARC fleet and made excellent time down to Bayona. Biscay was friendly for the most, but it did blow up to over 35kts as we approached Finisterre; at this point I was very glad to be on board a 50fter with the wind behind us! Bayona to Lisbon was very calm and the typical Northerlies were nowhere to be seen.

Unfortunately we didn't spot any whales as we went over the shelf but we did see hundreds of Dolphins. For those that are interested here is a short video showing some of the highlights of the trip:

Very nice yachts. Delivered one myself last year from Sotogrande, Spain to Turkey. Lovely trip electronics of a starship!
