Fabulous. We were there (two of us) 2/5/11 for three courses with (lovely) wine for £150. Okay we pushed the boat out it could easily have been half that. Set lunch menu for £20/head but I believe it is necessary to call in advance to qualify for this menu. A must when in Plymouth.

The Tanners also own the Barbican Kitchen above the Gin Distillery.
I'd highly recommend that as well, it's more bistro than restaurant and not as pricy as Tanners but lovely food and great service.

I regret to report that Tanners is now closed. The Tanner brothers seem to be concentrating on the Brasserie at the Plymouth Gin site and a new venture in Looe. So quality dining in Plymouth is the loser, luckily there is Chloe's restaurant not far away which is just as good, if not better, than what was Tanners.

I understand that the ex head chef at Tanners has purchased Tanners restaurant and will opening up soon, I will post a report when we've been there.
