If I ever manage to buy a first boat I would love to have kept it at Fowey. However they only have a very long waiting list for deep water moorings and I am thinking I am going to need shore power in order to use a heater etc to stop any damp, plus I quite like the idea of the social side of a marina.Secondly I imagine you may feel the need to always 'go somewere ' if you are up river on a mooring so there maybe some possible savings on fuel with a berth. What I don't understand is the arrangement in marinas where you can just be in the water over the summer.I like the idea of it being cheaper, but do you have to arrange somewhere to have it taken out of the water and stored during winter ? I would appreciate any suggestions of places near Plymouth where you can have a boat on the hard and any indication of cost for a 40ft boat. Also any comments and preferences about any of the three main marinas in Plymouth would be great-thanks
