Shore store is in Cattedown by the Laira Bridge, river Plym. I kept a boat there ashore for a winter about 20 years ago. Decent people running it then, but few or no facilities, but very secure, proper 24 hour security.
However I thought they’d shut down recently?

Thanks , I left a msg on their answer phone , but no return call as yet . Ime curious if they allow you to stay overnight on board hence the washroom facilities questions.

Two years ago I overwintered in nearby Plymouth Yacht Haven, and would row down to Morrisons as walking or cycling required the traversal of steep hills.

The proprietor of the marina you're enquiring about allowed me to leave my tender there on a couple of occasions, when I arrived to late to tie up at the nearby Yacht Haven Quay. He was friendly and helpful and it does seem to have good security - if I recollect there's a tall gate and you have to buzz through to be allowed back in at night.

I think I enquired about berthing there and was told at the time that the outer pontoons were due to be dredged, which would be necessary to accommodate my 2m draught.

If it hasn't changed hands, the owners are a decent bunch, I've known them for many years. In fact, when I moved to Plymouth in 1990 they were the first people I met while surfing at whitsand.

It is a boatyard though - it is excellent for over wintering - it's sheltered, easy to get to by boat and car, there's a decent car park. I'm not sure it's an ideal place to stay on board for any length of time. Depends on how rough you can live, I guess.

If you're keeping your boat in the water, they can only accommodate yachts on the outer pontoons.

I don't know where you live, but I've found a personal visit much more productive.
