Plume of smoke..........

I can see a large plume of thick black smoke coming up from Newport /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Anyone know if something dreadful has happened?

BTW I am looking out over the water from Clevedon, at home, not on the boat.

I think that is the power station cooling towers, its generating so a huge cloud of steam is produced

Seems to be further "right" than Uskmouth, and looks quite black, rather than "steamy"

I flew over the Bristol channel this afternoon and when we got to the Newport area and over the second Severn crossing it was very grey. From Fishguard it had been quite clear and that returned when we turned back for the approach into Bristol.
