Plotter Charts?

Can someone tell me where you can find the areas covered by plotter charts please?

Are they available for all of the world or only certain parts?

try ...

a) Google the chart type name and often the web-site of the producing company will have maps detailing the geo limits of each card / chart.
b) Join GPS Navigator group and ask about specific chart type / production.


you will also find that some chart types / formats do in fact only cover specific areas or regions. This is not advertised for obvious reasons - especially if a plotter cannot etend outside that chart region !
But usually areas frequented by shipping are covered so rarely is it ever found that a chart cannot be purchased to install on the plotter.

The best answer to worldwide coverage of course is PC based - second after paper.

Thanks for the help - in fact I have always used my copy of Russian C-map which runs on the laptop..

I was briefly tempted by something with a cockpit display but clearly from my own research and your suggestions there is in fact nothing to beat it! Will stick with C-map out of my lap top which is world wide.
