Please help - whats this thingy called

I need to get hold of a "thingy" to join a threaded stud to a bolt.
The photo is a thingy of incorrect size but what is it called ?

Strict rules of engineering, what you have there is a 'Hex Long Nut' commonly known as a 'Deep Nut'.
