probably most people are out with families, or sailing. Give it a day or two.

It would help if you could give the model no, and serial number, as they will be useful to track the engineering diagrams.

Yeah i know hun :) just spent 5 hours on it and wanted it done as not done much to my boat over the last few weeks due to the weather :( the model number is yamaha 40B and year is 1979 approx

Don't know the engine, but you could try boats.net for diagrams. I couldn't see anything older than 1984 for Yamaha, but you might find the later 40's are similar? Perhaps have a look at the diagrams and see if the bits you are working on look familiar as most manufacturers seem to evolve engines over time with only more occasional major updates. Job sounds a bit of a headache... :( Perhaps try a few heating cycles on the bolts before you attempt to remove if a lot are shearing off?

ive just finished doing my "79" yam , after it coughed a big end bearing out of the exhaust, when i removed the powerhead i noticed the the handle on mine was cracked so i had to replace that as well , i had 3 of the 4 bolts snap , used a blowtorch to heat the bolts to ease them out , you just heat the end of the bolts up and then spray wd 40 on them and the combination of heat and capillary action draws the wd in , then clamp some mole grips on the end of the bolt and slowly work backwards and forewords and it will come out ,if you have been unlucky and there is nothing to get hold of you will have to drill them out and maybe helicoil the thread back
