All being well, my heart will be in better condition next year, and I want to get afloat. Pretty severe illness means not much cash.
I would dearly love to find an Etchells in awful condition. Good race-worthy boats start at about £10k. I can afford a quarter of that for a bad one. I've been in touch with the class association over the years, but the dying boats are fairly obviously not owned by members, so no luck there.
Twenty plus years ago there were two at Hamble Point that I could have bought for almost nothing. Why didn't I?
Take a look at the two images and remember the keel and rudder shapes that might be peeking out from a lichen-covered tarpaulin in the 'dead' corner of your boatyard!

Any sightings will be hugely appreciated. With beer.
