Please help identify a westerly model - Conway??

I got an offer for a Conway(?). The present owner can't really say how old the boat is. He estimates a 1979 model. The boat has no hatch in the deck of the aft cabin but an access from the cockpit to the aftcabin - and a walkthrough under deck. I have never seen that version. I only know Conways with a hatch and no access from the cockpit. Is she a special model? A helpful sailor from WOA supposes a Westerly 35. Knows anybody significant differences between a 35 and a Conway, so that the type can be identified?

Back in the 90's when we supplying Westerly with switch gear, ended up on what from memory was a Conway which the chap was refitting.
This one had a walk way from nav area to aft accommodation, thought at the time it was one of the best layouts that I had come across on Westerlys. Have a feeling that the owner said it was one of only 5 or 6 built.
May be the same boat, this was at Cobbs Quay.

Don't know about the model, but if you look on or near the transom, you should find the builders hull number moulded in, the last two digits of which relate to the year of build ie. XXXXX79 would be a 1979 boat.

In addition to the builders hull number referred to by Andy H you will also find another number written in pencil or felt tip pen on many of the parts such as wooden locker covers, this was the build number for the particular model. In my case it is M77 whic meant it was the 77th bilge keeled westerly fulmar.

The people who really know about these things are the couple who run Traflagar Yachting ? at Fareham. Westerly spares and brokerage they are very knowledgable and also sell many original spares.
