Just to let you know, I won't be on the internet as often as usual for a while thanks to a cockup between ISP's. It seems that my broadband connection is somewhere in cyber space but nobody seems to want to accept liability. So I've now had to configure a dial up connection on PAYG until it's sorted

Anyone want to get hold of me ?

Mmm. We left BT for eclipse recently. BT turned it off a day early & gave someone else our new connection. Threatened the BT chairman & chief execs office & they sent out an engineer same day (xmas eve) to fix it, much to my surprise. Must have taken my threat seriously. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

MAC was duly obtained from BT and forwarded to our new ISP but they seem to have cocked up and run out of time , hence the service from BT ended but left me floating in cyber space while they tried pathetically to persuade me that they had never been given the code
NamesCo may be my next move as they seem to be half decent
 
Be interested to hear what you threatened them with ?
I have already had a shouting match with the new people but only managed to improve things a little
Instead of the original ten to fifteen days , I have been pushed to the front and it will now take
ten to fifteen days /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Anyone got any opinions on This Lot Or better still , a company that can deal with the problem quickly ?

Besides being slow and expensive you mean?

Talktalk does it for me - a little patience required initially but £20 for line rental, all landline and overseas calls and BB - has to be good value.

Problem with TalkTalk is they're the ones that have cocked up and I can't get a straight answer from them as to when they can sort it out /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Last thing they asked for was my MAC , which I've already given them , so they asked me to get another one

BT can't give me one because I'm no longer with them but now I don't even know if they're going to do it

Strange thing is that I have been enjoyinging myself off doing other things so may well not be on here as much anyway
