Hi Folks,

I hope you can see the pictures at http://s100.beta.photobucket.com/user/durcott/library/ (Hope this works :o )

This should be 4 views of a fuel fitting, on an old (ancient) Honda BF9.9a.

This fitting is different to the original, and I'm guessing it is still a Honda part as it 'fits' the motor.

Now - some oik has walked off with my fuel tank - Gee thanks mate  - and I need to get a fuel line made up.

Which part will mate with the fitting in the photos?

Do you happen to know?

Kind regards

Jeff

Hi Nik,

well as I say - it's not the original fitting. I had to change the fuel line when a service guy suggested swapping out the original.

The serial plate detail got melted off with anti foul - yeh! Thanks previous owner!!!!!!! I think there are stampings dotted around which have been used to zero in on the exact model, but in this particular case, even that is not much help.

Cheers

Jeff

Ah right, Damn I didn't read properly, apologies!

I'll take a peek through the schematics if I get a quiet moment today and see if I can find anything on a BF9.9a variant which might appear to match it...

If you think it is a Honda part then look at the Honda fuel line connectors in the Sierra catalogue http://www.marineengine.com/parts/s...arineengine.com/parts/sierra_marine/index.htm

If not a Honda part then look more widely at fuel line connectors but i think I can see it among the Honda connectors with to alternative fuel line fittings

Also look at the parts list on the Honda parts website ... but you will have to look engine model by engine model so could be tedious

Alittle easier than the Honda parts list may be the parts lists at Boats.net http://www.boats.net/parts/search/Honda/Outboard Engine/parts.html
( no pictures too small)

If you cannot find it you will have to buy both halves of a new connector.
