Electronic position indicating radio beacons versus Personal Location Beacon
Which would you prefer? What pro's and con's are there for each.
i guess if solo sailing, the PLB is more adequate, because it can be kept in a pocket and will preform its duty if falling overboard. I'm leaning more towards the PLB because i do solo sailing from time to time. But is there any reason why i should consider the EPIRB? Or would having both simply be overkill? Doesn't the PLB do the exact same job as the EPIRB anyhow? So if i get the PLB does this mean that, wherever in the world i sail, i can always take it with me, "on any boat"
