I bought a second hand Plastimo Neptune 2000 and only later noticed that the hobs do not light up fully. Once I go around with light it does burn but some parts blow out if flow changed. Noticed that the burner cap being too tight does not help.

Cap like here:

Unfortunately, if loosened its not perfect either and one cap is so tight that screw would not move at all.

I use calor gas, do I need some kind of conversion (where?) or replace tied caps to these?

Thank you

Usually caused by a build up of crud within the burner. If the screw won't shift you may have to drill the head of the screw off. (Then soak the remaining stud with penetrating oil for a few days and hopefully remove it with mole grip). Finally, the screw (at least on my old Atlantic) is an unusual thread :(

Burners regularly do this - I take mine out and ream out all the holes, annually, which invariably sorts out the problem.
Incidentally if you ever have yellow flames, besides producing lots of soot for coating your pan bottoms, they're producing lots of CO to poison you.

Absolutely right. The burners stand off the base a little to provide secondary aeration of the fuel/air mix. Of course, if you stir fry, the oil splatters on the base and gets washed into the gap, drying as a hard varnish. The symptoms of such a blockage is that the flame will stand off the burner, a gap of several mm before the gas burns and typically you can't get it to light all the way round. The only way to cure it is to remove the burner, strip and clean everything before reassembly. The Plastimo manual reccomends annual removal, otherwise the screw will bind with the heat.
