Can anyone recommend a suitable tried and tested patch material and adhesive to fix a small hole in the inner bladder of my tank? I think the bladder is made of PVC but I'm not sure.
 
As Humblebee says - the bladders are available at about half the cost of the full item.

Top half of page shows whole thing.. Bottom half shows liner. Strange thing is that when you put the liner in the proective jacket it appears to be too big... by about 2cm on each edge. When full of water though it seems to even itself out.

PS - I've not searched on best price. I just knew this place did the inner only.

I'm told this is so that the weight of water is taken by the sewn fabric outer, rather than stretching the welded seams of the inner bladder.

jb weld.look on ebay 6 sticks for £11.99+£3.00 p&p.wil fix tanks including petrol and diesel,radiators,cylinder blocks that have cracked due to freezing and a host of other things too many to list.each stick is about 3"long you mix it in your hands and apply.

I used patches I cut from my dinghy repair kit, much like a bicycle repair kit.

that was two years ago, about 8 leaks, all still sealed.

I bet I will be told this was wrong and couldn't work, this is after all PBO.
