Hi,
anyone got any advice for a source of replacmenat covers for an old 1985 Plastimo Compass ? I am not sure what the exact model is, it is a bulkhead type, marked "Plastimo Type 'B'" and was fitted in 1986 so would be a model contemporary to that time. The cover has however finally given up the ghost and decayed.
Plastimo do not recognise the compass, probably too old for their records. ..So, anyone out there recognise this compass and know where I can get a replacement cover ?

Should you fail to find the correct plastic cover I made one from sail cloth with velcro (hook and pile) on top and both sides. I screwed pieces of the mating velcroe to the bulkhead on top and each side so it will stick on. You have to shape the sail cloth cover to allow for the bulge. Around here it is vital to protect the compass from sun light which will evaporate the fluid. olewill

Would yu believe it, just like London buses....
I contacted Plastimo in France with a photo, and a friend went to Gillingham marina... Got three covers from Gillingham, and Plastimo sent me two from France FOC. If anyone lese out there has these they are Plastimo Contest 100 compasses, the cover is part number 17302 ......
