Plastimo Brevette Mooring Pickup Hook

I have recently acquired one of the above ( the type that threads the line through the mooring buoy eye). Whilst the instructions for use are on the handle it doesn't say how or where to attach the line. Anyone help please. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

the end of the rope is held in the spring part with about 1-2 inches
the hook goes through the loop in the bouy and then you have to close the spring part and trap the ropes end in the v section of the head

that is if it is the one i have used

when you have got it right the instructions make sense
