I recently purchased a new Plastimo 406-S Reefing System for my Leisure 17 and went for the chainplate version (rather than the turnbuckle version) in order to bring the foot of the sail closer to the deck. This, I hope, will improve the performance of the sail.
Today I opened the box and was surprised to see that the forked plates below the drum have about 11 sets of clevis pin holes, and are about 7-8" long. I had expected about five sets of holes and about 3". The box states that it is the chainplate version. Any ideas?
