I am just about ready to order some new perspex windows for my boat. In the Portsmouth/Chichester area, I have identified Sunlight plastics (Waterlooville) and Talking plastics (Horndean) - anybody used either of these? Any other recommendations?

Cheers! Neil

I used Sunlight and they were great, gave lots of good advise re fitting them too, explained why I shouldnt have countersunk holes, what to clean them with ect.

I actually took in the broken bits of a curved window, which they pieced together and made me a new one, they also gave me the option of having the holes for the screws in different places if the old holes had got manky and need just sealing, or in the same place for straight forward refit.
They even offered to go to a slightly bigger hole so that I would get a better grip by using a slighlty bigger screw(very old boat)
Quick and reliable too.

I used Hadlow Marine Services ( www.hadlowmarine.co.uk ) back in 2003 for new windows for Como. As well as the windows they supplied a grey tape to use instead of a tube of paste to bed the frames in with that was a dream to work with (no masking off or cleaning up needed) and works a treat - no leaks at all. They also supplied now screws and 'interscrews' for fixing the fames back in.

Very helpful and seemed to know where the potential problems were going to be and how to avoid them. They are based in Kent but that was no problem as I sent them templates of what I needed and they sent the new windows back well packaged and exactly as specified.

No connection etc just very happy with the service.

Well, I phoned them both today (Friday) at lunch time, Talking closed at 1300 and Sunlight at 1430 so Sunlight got the job. Thanks, all, for your helpful comments - I will let you know how we get on!
