Plastic padding marine epoxy

Basic epoxy resin, catalyst and glass beads (filling agent) are all you need and far cheaper in the long run. A local boat builder will probably fill a jam jar or two for you for a small price. They have huge drums of the stuff! That's pretty much all plastic padding is.

I think the 'marine' version has something in it to prevent absorbtion of water so is OK below the water line.

Normal car stuff is not, it absorbs water and falls out.

I bought some of e bay the other day, spec says it dries white and waterproof, just what i need for my small slip with the drill!
Has to be above 5 degc to set

the PP epoxy is pretty handy stuff. I find it difficult to sand by hand though. So fair well before it cures.
