Boat has a relatively small (2x2cm area, 3mm deep) chip in my transom at the waterline (transom/hull join).

I would like to repair with Plastic Padding Epoxy Marine Filler after surface preparation. Mostly for ease of mixing, measuring etc, but also because it dries white and should involve minimal wastage.

Will this product be suitable? Has anyone any experience in using it, good or otherwise?

Thanks in advance.

I would use ( white) Plastic Padding Gelcoat Filler ........ that's what I have to hand and is what I have always used in the past. Easy to measure and to mix. Small repairs can be filled level and a bit of tape stuck over while it cures. Larger repairs I fill proud and sand back when cured.

If you use epoxy resin remember that the mixing proportions must be accurate, which may not be easy with small quantities. With polyester gelcoat filler the mixing proportions are not so critical.
