Plastic handrail tops

Morning all,


I have spent the past week or so trying to source some tops for my handrails - I only have one left I want to renew them all (10) without having to take off the safety wire.

Where can I source a supplier?

I tried to find these plastic top pieces, and the plastic grommets for the lower wire, some years ago [pre-internet] and I couldn't.

What I did in the end was to turn up new top pieces from brass bar [I didn't have any suitable bronze or s/s bar available].

I replaced the plastic grommets with 1/2" s/s tube cut slightly longer than the stanchion diameter. These are kept in place by having their ends expanded [I put them in a vice with a 5/8"steel ball at each and tightened the vice a little]
