New England shipwright using hdpe for a new dory, other vids show new HDPE frames going in a 40ft F/V.
I'm just fitting new HDPE ribs in my oyster punt, means I can use screws, big enough to catch in the rivet holes. Shape them in with a heat gun, piece of pastry. Yeah, it's not authentic.....sorry. Even the second rib from the stern which has a severe crook in the bottom, can't break it, can't pull a screw from it. I'll put up a pic when (if) photobucket decides whether to let me play....is there an easier hosting site?
