We have just returned from our first cruise to Holland (the southern delter via Ramsgate/Dunkerque/Oostende/Vlissingen). It was SWBO'S first cross-channel cruise. Whilst the passge from Ramsgate to Calais was grim she so enjoyed the rest that we are planning to return late August/September. We cruised in company last time and, whilst we went off for a few days at a time on our own, it was good to be able to meet up with others too. If anyone would like/is able to consider a sim ilar cruise please let me know. We sail a SO 40 deck saloon and this was our longest cruise since having bought the boat last year.

Thanks to Duncan for the loan of the Almanak and to all those from SPYC who made it such a memorable time.

We'll be off for 2 weeks from mid Aug.....

Plan is head off down channel.... but if the summer SW'lies arrive (or just summer generally would do!), then we may head towards Holland again. Perhaps a bit further north this time into the Ijelsmeer (sp?)...

... so you never know!

We're heading to North Holland on the 5th/6th for three weeks assuming someone has booked good weather for the pirate weekend /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
