planar/ heater question again

im thinking of fitting a planar and about to work out route for exhaust and question is simply is there any reason for flexi hose (stainless) being used and not stainless or similar solid pipe its just i would prefer a solid pipe bent in as it will be more smoother internally and stronger than flex pipe

I don't think there's much vibration from the exhaust outlet of a heater. Flexible hose is used because it's easier to route than solid pipe.

I'm always surprised that flexible metal pipe works ( remains gas tight) as well as it does. It seems like it would be difficult/expensive to make and yet prices are not as bad as all that!

My flexible hose is wrapped in glass fibre tape which is then inside plastic hose in a nice tight fit. It has been like this for very nearly 20 years now, so seems to be strong enough.
